Observe the following matters if putting your hands or part of body into the
moving parts of the machine in the case of production material supply,
changeover, or adjustments.
You may be injured if the machine is actuated.
And also you may receive an electric shock.
There are three levels of steps as follows, according to each kind of work.
Repairing such as a control BOX-------------------------------------------------
-
Cut off the power supplying to
the machine.
Turning OFF the power supply routinely----------------------------------------
-
Replacing a control part such as a sensor
Disassembling or replacing parts
Turn OFF the power and stop
the air supply.
Lock the power supply switch
and the main air valve.
Changeover or working for daily check -----------------------------------------
-

Observe the following precautions in handling linear motors.
Magnetic force may cause injuries and accidents. It may also cause burns.
CM602-L uses linear motors for driving along its X- and Y-axes.
Since extremely powerful permanent magnets are used in the linear motors, wrong handling can be
extremely dangerous even if the power supply is in the OFF (O) state.
In working inside the safety covers (e.g. in maintenance), follow the rules below.
1. Those who wear pacemakers must not work inside the safety covers.
2. In working, do not wear any metals such as watches, pierced earrings, and necklaces.
3. Since the movers of linear motors become hot (80
°
C under 25
°
C environment, 90
°
C under 35
°
C
environment), take care not to suffer burns.
After shutdown, it may be three hours or more before they reach room temperature.
4. Do not disassemble the linear motors.
Since the attractive power of the stators (the magnets) is extremely powerful, disassembling
them can be extremely dangerous.

Beware of the guide for collectively changing truck.
You may stumble over the guide for collectively changing truck and get injured when
operating without the collectively changing truck.
We recommend that you should paste yellow and black tapes for danger indication onto the floor where is
120 mm or more away from around the machine, in order to draw a distinct line between the operator area
and the maintenance area (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 2).
We recommend that you should keep away from the most protrudent part (the guide for collectively
changing truck) of the machine by 120 mm or more (outside of the area with yellow and black stripes), as
shown in Fig. 2.
