8.3 Changing a shaft cleaning module
DANGER
Risk of damage / life!
Before changing the cleaning modules, stop the machine operation and disconnect it from
the power supply with the main power switch.

Performing the exchange
Open the rear revision door.
If necessary, remove an existing magazine and put it aside on a safe place.
Disconnect all connections to the shaft cleaning module(1).
Remove the fixing screw(2).
Grab the module firmly with both hands and pull it gently lifting the front of the module.
Put the module aside on a safe place.
Check the condition of the plate gasket. In case of wear or visible damage replace it with a
new one.
Get the new module and position it on the plate between the guides (with pins towards the in-
side of the device).
Move the module home lifting the front slightly.
Secure the module in position by tightening the fixing screw.
Attach all connections to the module.
Close the rear revision door.

8.3.1 Checking the piston gaskets
The condition of the piston gaskets is the key to proper shaft washing process. That is why you
should mount only inspected, flawless ones:

There are several possible gasket defects:

Shape deformation / crush (1)
Blinded hole (2, also 1, 5, 7, 9, 10)
Cuts, chips, scratches, cracks, perforations (3)
Torn, jagged tip (4)
Flash (5, also 2, 3, 7 – 10)
Soils (6, 7)

8.4 Cleaning the machine
Clean the machine (tanks and processing cells) at least every month. Remove sludge and all other
dirt. Before cleaning, drain the fluids from all tanks by opening the respective drain tanks.

Before changing the cleaning modules, stop the machine operation and disconnect it from
the power supply with the main power switch.
CAUTION
Risk of damage!
Do not use pressure cleaners or halide-based agents which contain chloride, fluorine,
bromine or iodine ions. Protect the motors, sensors, and control valves.
8.5 Replacement of the fluid filter cartridge
DANGER
Risk of damage / life!
Before changing the cleaning modules, stop the machine operation and disconnect it from
the power supply with the main power switch.
In order to replace the fluid filter cartridge:
Remove the front cover.
Unscrew the filter nut and remove the body.
CAUTION
Spilling of liquid!
Work carefully as the body is filled up with the fluid.
NOTICE
Filter seal!
Do not lose the seal in the filter nut.
Replace the worn / saturated cartridge by a new one.
Put back the filter body and fix it with the filter nut.
Install the front cover.
