Transport position.
X Undock the WPC4 from the SIPLACE machine and move it to a suitable position for service work.
X Switch the WPC4 off at the main switch.
X Unplug from the power supply and secure the WPC4 to prevent unauthorized reactivation.
X Loosely fix the motor support and drive motor
into the installation position, with the 2
fastening screws (3).
X Set the final belt tension. To do this, tension
the drive toothed belt at the tensioning device,
with the help of the tensioning screw (2). This
moves the motor support accordingly in the
slots.
Setting: set belt tension to
265 Hz. +/- 5 Hz.
X Tighten the 2 fastening screws (2) on the
motor support, check the belt tension and
adjust where necessary.
X Seal the 2 fastening screws (3) with locking
varnish.

Removal/installation
X Move the catch feed axis with the toothed belt
into a suitable position for service work (at the
front, in the transfer area).
X Loosen the two fastening screws (1) sealed
with locking varnish, at the tensioning device
with the deflection pulley (3).
X Loosen (do not remove) the tensioning screw
(2) - sealed with locking varnish - on the
tensioning device. This relaxes the toothed
belt.
X Loosen the 4 fastening screws (4) on the catch
unit (5). The two ends of the toothed belt are
fixed to this.
X Carefully remove the catch unit (5). This
toothed belt is now loose.
X Note how the toothed belt is run, so that you
can fit it again correctly later on. Pull the
toothed belt over the two deflection pulleys
(back and front) and out of the WPC4.
X Remove the tensioning device and deflection
pulley (3), so that you can feed in the new
toothed belt more easily. To do this, loosen the
two fastening screws (1).
X Insert the toothed belt into the WPC4 at the
transfer position and run it from the tensioning
device (1) to the deflection pulley (4). The
toothed belt should exit the WPC4 below the
bottom deflection pulley (3).
X Place the end of the toothed belt around the
back deflection pulley (3) and insert into the
clamping unit (5).
X Place the other end of the toothed belt around
the deflection pulley of the tensioning unit (2)
and run as far as the clamping unit (5).
X Fit the tensioning device with deflection pulley
and fix into place with the two fastening
screws.

X The two ends of the toothed belt must be
inserted into the clamping unit (2) so that the
clamping unit teeth engage with the belt teeth.
The two ends must meet (1).
X Note the length of the new toothed belt. The
toothed belt is 2120 mm long/ number of teeth:
424.
X If the belt is too long, shorten it to the correct
length.
X Fit the catch unit onto the clamping unit (2).
Tighten the 4 fastening screws crosswise.
Final work
The catch unit must be adjusted so that it is
straight (adjust at fastening screws). Make sure
that it does not rub against any parts or jam at any
point of the travel range.
X Set the catch (1) to a distance of approx. 0.5
mm (3) to the white plastic guidance (2).
X Push the catch back and forth along the travel
range, to check that it does not rub against any
parts or jam at any point.
X Set the correct belt tension. See also Section
3.4.5 Setting the Feed Axis Belt Tension
[J27].
X Calibrate the feed axis.
