3 Navigation Guide for Installation
3.1 SIPLACE System
Please use the following documents to lead you through the installation procedure for SIPLACE System.
3.2 SIPLACE Setup Center
The installation procedure is divided into several parts (see the following Figure):
1. Installation of hardware
Barcode scanner
– Dragon Scanner's Cradle or Symbol MC70 2D barcode scanner
Optional: Docking Station
2. Installation of software
Setup Center, with setup type

4 System Requirements
You can use SIPLACE Setup Center on a regular PC with the English language version of Windows XP
SP2 or Windows Server 2003 and optionally with a multi-language pack. These requirements apply only
to the SIPLACE Setup Center software.
4.1 Computers

Complete System (for SIPLACE Pro Single Computer Configuration)
NOTE:
SIPLACE Setup Center requires a NTFS partitioning for installation. FAT or FAT32 file systems
are not supported. Installation of SIPLACE Setup Center onto a FAT partitioning will be
interrupted by the setup program.

Preferred: Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows XP
SP3 or Windows Vista SP1
Compatible: Windows Server 2003 SP1, Windows

depending on the complexity of the file content.
