1 Prepare the multipette. See appendix
"Prepare the multipette".
2 Turn the wheel and adjust 2 µl. 3 Put the head stand in the upright position
and turn the head upside down.
4 Ensure the Z-Axis is moved into the head
before turning the star as otherwise the Z-
Axis jaw can be damaged.
5 Insert a new slightly moistened cleaning
stick between 2 segments (1) so it touches
the raceway (2).
6 Turn the star one full rotation as shown in
the picture pulling the cleaning stick over
the whole race way.

7 Turn the cleaning stick by 180° and insert
it again between 2 segments so the tip
touches the raceway.
8 Turn the star one full rotation as shown in
the picture pulling the cleaning stick over
the whole race way.
9 Check the cleaning stick for contamina-
tion.
10 If not OK repeat step 5 to 9. 11 If Ok proceed with next step. 12 Apply 3 x 2 µl slightly shifted on both sides
at the top of a new cleaning stick.

13 Insert the lubricated cleaning stick
between 2 segments (1) so the tip touches
the raceway (2).
14 Lubricate the raceway without moving the
cleaning stick through the Z-axis jaw.
15 Turn the star one full rotation as shown in
the picture pulling the cleaning stick over
the whole race way.
16 Turn the cleaning stick by 180° and insert
it again between 2 segments so the tip
touches the raceway.
17 Turn the star one full rotation as shown in
the picture pulling the cleaning stick over
the whole race way.
18 Turn the star for five full rotations to dis-
tribute the oil evenly on the raceway.
