2.1 Necessary tools:
– Angle allen key size 2.5 mm and 5 mm
or 2
– ratch plug in tool with allen key link for size 2.5 mm and 5 mm
– Tong with prepaired end stop
–
– Spread tool (Item no: 00375832-01), consists of:
- Fitting pieces (Item no: 00375829-01)
- Tong with end stop external form B (Item no: 00096450-01)
–
– Open ended spanner size 7.

: Switch off the placement machine on the main switch.

: Examine the cover for impression of lubrication nozzle.

: Test the old covers with the gauge and note the result of the test in the annexed exel file (pls
send this file to: kleinwolfgang@siemens.com).
The regular value of the nozzle is about 2.75 - 2.80 mm.

: Move gantry to end of rail.

The gantry must not be moved as long as the covers are disassembled. Otherwise the ball deflec-
tor may lift off with the effect of loosing balls. 2

: Unscrew and remove both cover screws.
