Input Options
Lefthand window:
-
Track barcode:
Input of the track bar-code using the bar-code pen by running it over the
track bar-code at the machine or by using the keyboard to enter the track bar-code.

Des'd BC w. filt:
Possible bar-codes are shown here.
If a filter was entered in the LC for certain positions in the barcode this will be
shown here. The masked-out positions are marked by a rectangle.

Comp. barcode:
Input of component barcode by reading in the barcode on the component package
or by entering the component barcode via keyboard.
Righthand window:
-
Displays the table side, track number and component name belonging to the track barcode selected.

Listing the empty tracks when the "Refill" menu is called during placement. In this listing it is possible to
display, by pressing the
spacebar
, the track barcode belonging to the line which was selected with the
cur-
sor bar
.
When the refill check is not enabled (see Chapter 5.3 "Options") it is possible to call the corresponding
component barcode by pressing the spacebar once more.

BC:
* With this track at least one component bar-code will be present. Bar-code comparison is possible.
When fill check is enabled the bar-code comparison is mandatory.
- This component bar-code is not found. You can fill manually.
NOTE
Up to 40 characters may be entered as a component barcode. The display can be scrolled in the display area
Component barcode with filter. Arrows indicate in which direction the characters in the display area should be
read.
5.4.4.1 Setting Tracks Full
Read in or enter the track bar-code and then the component bar-code of the track to be dealt with.
Press the
Return key
or move the
pen reader
over the return barcode. If the track and the component bar-
code agree with one another, the corresponding line in the righthand window is highlighted by a yellow
background. If the track and component barcodes do not agree with one another, a warning message is
displayed.

Acknowledge the warning message by pressing the
spacebar
.
Check your inputs and whether you have entered the right component. Repeat the procedure.
If the corresponding line in the righthand field has a yellow background, press the
Return key
.
This line is deleted from the righthand window and this track reported to the machine as full and ready for
placement.
5.4.4.2 Refilling Tracks Which Have Not Yet Been Emptied
If tapes are spliced onto tracks which have not yet been emptied, or they are refilled with components, then
proceed as follows to check whether the track corresponds to the component which has been supplied:
Select the "Refill" menu.
For the track affected, follow the procedure described in Section 5.4.4.1 (Setting tracks full).

5.4.4.3 Setting Empty Tracks Full
If one or more tracks has or have been completely emptied and appear as an error message on the screen,
then proceed using one of the two alternatives given below:
With refill check
Select the "Refill" menu. All empty tracks are listed there automatically in the righthand window.
Using the
Tab key
activate the cursor bar in the righthand window.
Either position the cursor bar using the
cursor keys
over the track you wish to process and press the
spacebar
or read in the track barcode using the pen reader. The track barcode is now shown in the
lefthand window.
Read in or enter one of the possible component bar-codes and then press the
Return key
.
If the corresponding line in the righthand field has a yellow background, press the
Return key
.
This line is deleted from the screen and this track is reported to the machine as full and ready for
placement.
NOTE
If "No component barcode (- in column BC)" has been entered for the selected track, you may proceed as
with "without refill check".
Without refill check
Select the "Refill menu". All empty tracks are listed there automatically in the righthand window.
Using the
Tab key
activate the cursor bar in the righthand window.
Either position the cursor bar using the
cursor keys
over the track you wish to process and press the
spacebar
or read in the track barcode using the pen reader. The track barcode is now displayed in the
lefthand window.
Press the
spacebar
again. In the lefthand window the first of the corresponding component bar codes will
now be displayed.
Press the
Return key
. This line is deleted from the screen and this track reported to the machine as full and
ready for placement.
NOTE
All empty tracks can also be set simultaneously to full after entering the line engineer password with the
menu item "Set tracks full" (see Section 5.4.3). The refill check also must be disabled.
