1.4 Staff qualifications and training
Qualified or adequately trained personnel means that these people are familiar with the setting up,
operation and maintenance of the machine and the add-on devices and are suitably qualified, e.g.:
●
Have been trained, instructed or authorized to switch on and off, isolate, earth and identify
electrical circuits and system components in accordance with normal safety standards.
●
Have been trained or instructed in the upkeep and use of appropriate safety equipment in
accordance with normal safety standards.
●
Have received first aid training.

2 Brief Description
The "Thick Board" option enables you to place boards with a thickness up to 6.5mm.
2.1 Product Description
The "Thick Board" option is needed in order to process boards with a thickness up to 6.5mm.
You also need to use other clamping rails and will have to lower the entire conveyor.
2.2 Prerequisites
This option can be fitted in all SX1/SX2 V2 machines from serial number Lxxxx.
NOTICE
Other machine types
► For machines of type SX1/SX2/DX1/DX2 (serial number Kxxxx), read the Assembly
Instructions "Thick Board 6mm – SX1/SX2 – DE+EN" [00196613‑xx].
2.3 Restrictions
●
Once you have installed this option, you will no longer be able to clamp boards with a thick-
ness of below 2 mm.
●
Both conveyor lanes need to be converted when using a dual conveyor. If you do not convert
both sides, the Z axis for the placement heads will not reach far enough down and the PCB fi-
ducials will be outside the focus of the PCB camera.

The package contains all parts needed to convert one conveyor lane. You will need to order
this package 2x for a dual conveyor.
