Parameter Description
Active
Teardown after foil torn (X-
Feeder)
If this setting is activated Setup Center cancels the relation between
packaging unit and feeder, in the event of an X feeder foil tear. Since
the system is unable to detect the replacement of a packaging unit in
this error situation, this setting ensures that the packaging unit is al-
ways rechecked after a foil tear.
This setting is always active if the option Tear down the packaging
unit if the verification status of the X-feeder is unreliable has been en-
abled at Settings => Line => Domain-Wide Verification Settings.
Verify tray changers WPCs and MTCs are included in the offline setup verification.
Teardown changeover table
before verification
If this setting is activated, changeover tables that are to be used in a
new setup will be torn down automatically. If this setting is deactivat-
ed, these changeover tables will have to be torn down manually.
Check MSD level Activates the MSD verification (monitoring of moisture-sensitive com-
ponents) during offline setup verification. The MSD level specifies
how long moisture-sensitive components may be used for once they
have been taken out of their protective packaging.
Parameter Description
Allow Splicing of Alternative
Components
To allow splicing of alternative components you need to activate this
function in Setup Center.
You need to deactivate this option if you want to run alternative com-
ponents via a pre-setup feeder or complete packaging unit change on
the feeder.
Double check during refill (only
for packaging units with unique
ID)
When splicing a new tape reel the operator is prompted to scan the
preceding reel first and the new tape reel afterwards during scanning.
This function is only possible for packaging units with unique packag-
ing unit ID. This increases the safety during refill.

Select the required parameters from the relevant list boxes.
Click on the Default Values button to apply the default settings coordinated with the SIPLACE Trace
Service.

NOTICE
Packaging ID
In order for SIPLACE Trace Service Traceability to generate data, you need to have a Packag-
ing ID in attribute 6.
Parameter Description
Automatically individualize
packaging units of a batch
Setup Center supports identical component batches for linear feed-
ers and tray feeders. This means that the same unique ID can be
scanned for several linear feeders or tray feeders.
Select the required option:
On tray feeders
For linear feeders
Traceability (station based)
Copy the unique ID of the batch packaging unit into the batch field of
the packaging unit
Activate this option and the actually scanned unique ID is saved in
the batch field. Make sure that this is not also part of the barcode def-
inition. Access to the separate packaging units of the identical com-
ponent batches is not possible after tearing down, as these use
generated unique IDs.
Parameter Description
Active Setup Center supports printing the current quantity before tearing
down. This is useful in the operating mode "Identical component
batch", because the current packaging unit quantity is lost during tear
down. Quantity correction labels offer the possibility to keep this in-
formation. The quantity correction labels can be printed individually
for each packaging unit, for feeders, for tables and for the complete
setup during tear down (via GUI or scanner).
Print always The quantity correction labels are printed automatically during tear
down.
Ask operator before printing After tear down a prompt for printing the quantity correction labels is
displayed at the barcode scanner and in the Setup GUI. If printing is
requested, the printout is started.
Selected printer Printer on which the quantity correction labels are printed. The printer
must be configured in the operating system.
Barcode label template Setup Center supports specific templates for barcode labels.

3.2.6.1 Teardown with Quantity Printout
If the used packaging units are processed without unique ID barcodes, all entries for a packaging unit
are deleted from the Setup Center database after teardown. This also means that the current quantity
for a partially processed reel remains unused.
In order to prevent this, you can print out quantity barcodes during teardown.
The contents of the quantity barcode can be configured as follows in the ApplicationSettings.xml file:
<Setting key="BusinessRules.SetupVerification.QuantityPrintout.BarcodePattern" value="$CQ{Quanti-
ty}${OriginalQuantity}"/>
The following place holders are possible:
Component, Quantity, OriginalQuantity, Batch, Extra1, Extra2, Extra3, Serial, SiplaceProComponent,
Supplier, Manufacturer, ExpiryDate, ManufactureDate.
Prerequisite
The "Print current quantity barcode label on tear down" was activated via
Extras Settings
General
.
A label printer is ready to operate and can be accessed by Setup Center.
A barcode label must be configured which corresponds to the printed barcode (default quantity bar-
code: '^\$CQ(?<Quantity>\d{1,6})\$(?<OriginalQuantity>\d{1,6})$').
3.3 Barcode Labels
In the main menu open Extras > Settings and the Settings window is opened.
Select the category Barcode labels and the settings are opened.
In this view the barcode definitions used by Setup Center are created. Barcode labels can be defined for
use during the setup verification of Setup Center.

NOTICE
Save the settings for barcode label templates
The settings for these barcode label templates are stored in the file "BarcodelabelsPrintout-
Styles.xml" in the installation directory (as a default, this is: C:\Programs\SIPLACE\SIPLACE
Setup Center). If your settings result in illegible printouts, change the settings here and save a
copy of the file.
