1.7 ESD Precautionary Measures
■ All printed circuit boards that are part of the FCM Multiflex must be transported
and stored in ESD-protected bags.
■ Any person handling an FCM Multiflex printed circuit board must adequately be
earthed - e.g. by means of a bracelet with earth cable - to prevent destructive
electrostatic discharge through the printed circuit board.
■ In areas that are not ESD protected, the removable protective covers must be
mounted on all placement modules.
■ Handling of FCM Multiflex printed circuit boards should be restricted as much as
possible.
■ Repairs to various printed circuit boards must be carried out in an ESD-protected area.

1.9 Liability
Assembléon will not be liable for any costs, damages or personal injuries if the FCM
Multiflex is not used according to the safety rules given in this chapter.
1.10 Location of the Operating Manual
The operating manual must be located close to the FCM Multiflex. This enables
users to have easy access to the relevant section.
Average sound-pressure level measured at 3 operator positions at height = 1.5 m
and distance = 1 m
≤ 79 dB(A)
Sound pressure at operator’s position ≤ 78 dB(A)
Average environmental noise level during measurement 53 dB(A)

Purpose of the User Reference Manual
CHAPTER 2 Purpose of the User Reference Manual
2.1 Introduction
This manual gives information (at Supervisor and Maintenance level) for additional
machine operations that are not described in the Operating or Service Manual.
It cannot be used as complete work instruction but only as reference book.
Service Manual describes mainly:
1. System.
2. Repairs.
3. Spare parts.
4. Calibration/adjustments.
5. Preventive maintenance.
