4.2.6.4 FEEDER
syntax: feeder_pos_nr + pick_pos_nr + feeder_id + feeder_type + component_id +
package_id / smd_info_file_id [+ feeder_phi [+ feeder_pick_vector] ]
NOTE: feeder_phi is obligatory for “AS WVM” and optional for “AS LAS”.
NOTE: feeder_pick_vector is only used for “AS WVM”, and is obligatory if the file extension of the
smd_info_file_id is “CA” (indicating an asymmetrical component).
■ feeder_pos_nr (feed)
type: integer
range: 1.. 9999
description: Denotes the position number on the feeder-bar/feeder-trolley on which
the feeder is located. The number is related to the slot-number (hole)
on the feeder-bar/feeder-trolley.
It is preferred to also include the PM position in the notation. The
preferred notation for the feeder position is :
(“PM position” * 100) + slot-nr .
Note that a WVM covers 2 PM positions
The slot nr. for a feederbar ranges from 1..8
The slot nr. for a feedertrolley ranges from 1..16
Examples:
1412: LAS 14 (or WVM 13 !!) on slot 12 of the feeder
trolley.
504: LAS 5 (or WVM 5) on slot 4 of the feeder-bar
/feedertrolley.

description: Denotes the pick position within a feeder, counted from left to right.
■ feeder_id (feeder_id)

length: 1..20
description: Denotes the feeder name.
■ feeder_type (type)

description: For respectively: Mechanical/Pneumatical/Inteligent Tape Feeders (T),

■ component_id (component_id)

description: Denotes the electrical identfication of the component (e.g. part number,
ordering code, stock code).
■ smd_info_file_id (smd info)
type: string
format: <file name>[“.”<file name extension>]
length/range: <file name> : 1..8
<file name extension> : “ LAS” | “FCA” | “ CA”
description: Denotes the SMD info file to be used.
NOTE: Extension “ LAS” is only used in “ AS LAS” . “ FCA” and “ CA” only used in “ AS WVM” .
NOTE: “ FCA” refers to SMD Info Files of symmetrical components.
“ CA” refers to SMD Info Files of asymmetrical components.
NOTE: If no file name extensions are used, the system refers by default to SMD Info Files with extensions
“ LAS” or “ FCA” . In the case of “ AS WVM” it is therefore obligatory to use an smd_info_file_id with
the extension “ CA” if you are using components which are defined as assymetrical.
■ feeder_phi (feeder_phi)

range: -180.0 .. 180.0 (degrees)
description: Orientation of the component in the feeder’s pocket coordinate system,
relative to the component’s coordinate system.
■ feeder_pick_vector (only used for WVM)
• feeder_pick_X (f_pick_x)

range: -1.0 ... 1.0 (mm) for nozzle PA 2748/10
-1.5 ... 1.5 (mm) for nozzles PA 2748/20 & PA 2748/30
description: The additional X-offset with which the nozzle picks up the component,
relative to the centre of the feeder’s pick pocket.
• feeder_pick_Y (f_pick_y)

range: 0 .. 2.0 (mm)
description: The additional Y-offset with which the nozzle picks the component,
relative to the centre of the feeder’s pick pocket.
