5. INSTALLATION
Follow the safety notes in chapter 1!
At storage temperatures < +10 °C, ensure acclimatization takes place before switching on
(condensate formation)!
Remove transport packaging!
5.1 Indoor installation (standard)
Observe the requirements set out in chapter 1.5.1 ("Installation") in relation to the minimum
room volume required for installing the cooling unit.
The cooling unit should be installed in a frost-free room on an even, horizontal surface with a
suitable load capacity (see weight specifications in technical section).
No foundation-side fastening, separators or vibration absorbers are required.
In a standard installation, the cooling unit and consumer should be installed on the same level.
In the case of different installation conditions, consult with the manufacturer.
To ensure error-free operation of the cooling unit and to permit necessary maintenance and repair
work, the minimum clearances and free spaces must be observed during installation. The air must
be free of dust and aggressive gases.

These installation conditions must be observed to guarantee that the cooling air can be sucked in
and blown out freely. This largely prevents the heated air blown out at the top from being sucked in
(air short circuit).
In the area of the cooling unit, sufficient air exchange must be ensured to enable effective
heat dissipation.
Calculations must be based on the specified air volume of the fan as well as the quantity of thermal
energy, which is obtained by multiplying the refrigeration capacity by a factor of 1.3.
The air circulation must not be hindered by nearby building parts (walls, ceilings). Recirculation of
the ejected air must be avoided.

6. ASSEMBLY

6.1 Connecting the water pipes
The nominal width of the pipes for the external water circuit must be defined taking the available
pump pressure and the expected pressure drop in the consumer circuit into account.
Water pipes can be rigid or flexible and must be stress-free. The corrosion behaviour of the
materials used in the consumer with the water must be taken into account to prevent damage.

When installing the on-site pipework, contamination of the piping must be avoided.
(Rinse pipes before connecting the cooling unit!)
6.2 Electrotechnical connection
Tasks to be carried out:
The cooling unit has been designed to allow a remote control to be connected. When delivered,
a link cable is positioned between the terminals.
The centralised fault indication is wired to the terminal as a floating contact.

When decommissioning the consumer in the frost period, the mains disconnecting device
(main switch) must remain activated, thus enabling the pump(s) and electric heating to enter
standby mode.
1. Check the supply voltage as per the device specification
2. Remove the covering panel on the operator side
3. Insert the connection cable from below through the cable grommet provided in the
baseplate (left or right depending on the cooling unit)
4. Lay the cable appropriately in the cooling unit and connect it to the control cabinet by
passing it through the cable gland
5. Establish the electrical connection in accordance with the wiring diagram (see technical
section)
