Keep away from the source of exposure.
Lifeguards should ensure to prevent themselves and other people from being exposed.
Wear an appropriate gear to support breathing.
If breathing problem, dizziness, or sickness is identified, or consciousness is lost, consult a physician
promptly.
If breathing has stopped, inhale oxygen using appliances, and give mouth-to-mouth respiration.
Skin contact
Flush contacted area with soap and water.
If the product is injected under the skin or any other parts in the body, consult with a physician immediately
regardless of the appearance or size of the wound.
Even if there is little or no initial symptom due to power injection, prompt treatment within several hours after
the accident can prevents the wounds from opening up.
Eye contact
Flush completely with water. Consult a physician if irritation continues.
Oral ingestion
Usually, no first-aid is required. If discomfort is felt, consult a physician.
Fire Fighting Measures
Fire extinguishing agent
Appropriate fire extinguishing agent
Loaded stream fire extinguisher, foam, dry chemical and carbon dioxide.
Inappropriate fire extinguishing agent
Water jet
Fire extinction
How to extinguish
Evacuate the danger area.
Prevent the extinguishing agent or its diluents from entering drains or water courses.
Firefighters should wear standard protective gears and use a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)
inside the building or tank.
Use water spray to cool the parts that are exposed to the fire and to protect people against fire.
Harmful combustion product
Products from incomplete combustion, smoke, fume, sulfur oxides, aldehydes, and carbon oxides.
Accidental Release Measures
Notification procedure

Leak on the sea
Stop the leakage if there is no risk of danger. Deploy oil booms immediately to prevent spreading. Make sure
to give cautions to other transporters. Scoop up or soak up oil with an adequate absorber to remove it from
the water surface. Ask for specialist’s advices before using the dispersant.
Instructions on leak on the ground and the sea given here are based on the most likely scenario.
However, the measures to be taken seem to depend largely on geographical conditions, wind direction,
and temperatures. On top of these, for a leak on the sea, waves, tidal flow, and speed need to be
considered. In these cases, it is required to consult the local experts.
(Note: The measures to be taken may be specified or limited by the local regulations.)
Preventive measures for environment
Large leak
For recovery and disposal afterwards, dig a ditch at a place away from the end of leak. Prevent the oil from
flowing into channels, sewerage, underground or confined places.
Precautions in Handling and Storage
Handling
Avoid a small leakage and spillage to prevent accidents caused by slippage.
Electrostatic storage
This product accumulates static electricity.
Storage
Do not store in containers not sealed or labeled.
Disposal Consideration
Precautions in disposal are based on the state of the product in which it was supplied. Disposal of the
product must comply with the applicable laws and regulation according to the state of the product at the
time.
Disposal recommendation
It is appropriate to burn the product as fuel with a sealed burner with flame control, or with an
incineration system specially controlled to prevent hazardous combustion products from being
generated.
