First Aid Measures
Inhalation
Remove to fresh air. Warm with blankets or other means and repose. Consult a physician if necessary.
Skin contact
Flush contacted areas abundantly with soap and water.
Eye contact
Flush with plenty of clear water for at least 15 minutes. Consult a physician.
Ingestion
Do not induce vomiting. Promptly consult a physician.
Wash out mouth with water.
Simple descriptions on most common symptoms
Swallowing may lead to diarrhea or vomiting.
Contact with eyes may cause inflammation.
Contact with skin may cause inflammation.
Inhaling the mist may cause to fall ill.
Fire Fighting Measures
Fire extinguishing agent

1. Loaded stream fire extinguisher, foam, dry chemical and carbon dioxide.
2. For fires at earlier stage, use dry chemical or carbon dioxide to douse.
3. For large fires, it is effective to use fire foam to block off air.
Things should not be done
Do not use water jet. It can spread fire and hazardous situation may result.
Specific fire fighting measures

1. Be careful not to allow oil to enter drains or water courses.
2. For a leak on the sea, chemical absorbent must comply with the technical requirements of the regulations
of relevant authorities.
How to clean up leakage

1. Remove all ignition sources immediately.
2. For a small leak, collect the leaked grease by removing with a spatula or shovel or by absorbing with sand
or waste cloth, etc. Then wipe up completely with a waste cloth.
3. For a large leak, evacuate the nearby area and rope off to prevent entry. Stop the leakage with sand, etc.
and lead to a safe place, then collect it in an empty container.
4. For a leak on the sea, deploy oil booms to prevent spreading. Scoop up or soak up with absorbing mat.
Chemical adsorbent must comply with the technical requirements of the regulations of relevant authorities.
Preventive measures against second disaster

or spreading.

2. Prevent contact with flames, sparks or hot objects and do not evaporate needlessly.

4. Before repairing or modifying the machinery and equipment in which hazardous substance remains,
eliminate the substance completely in a safe place.
5. Do not eat or drink.
6. Wear appropriate safety gear to prevent contact with skin or eyes.
7. If mists are generated, wear a respirator so as not to inhale them.
8. Keep containers tightly closed.
Precaution
Vapors generated from petroleum product often stay in the air because vapor is heavier than air. It is,
therefore, necessary to ventilate the workplace and to keep away from flames.

1. Business owners should dispose of industrial wastes by themselves, or entrust the disposal to the
specialists approved by the governor or to the local authorities responsible.
2. Do not dump into any sewers, on ground, or into any body of water.
3. Burn in an incinerator before disposing of in a landfill. Burnt residue must be below the criteria stipulated in
the law on waste disposal and cleaning.
4. Burn in a safe place in a manner where there is no possibility of hazard to others or damage to properties.
