The SITEST program is a menu-controlled program in which the keys and combination of keys have the

0.4.1 Traversing the Gantry With the Teach Function Activated
The teach function is automatically activated if, for example, the Teach position function is selected on the
"Teach position" submenu of the "Vision system" menu (see section 3.1.2).
If you wish to change the step size for traversing the gantry, actuate one of the number keys 0 through 9,
with the "0" key representing the smallest and the "9" key the largest step size.
To move the gantry actuate the cursor keys
↑ ↓ ← →
.
The direction arrows on the cursor keys correspond to the gantry’s direction of travel as seen from a posi-
tion in front of the machine viewing into the direction of travel.

0.4.2 Selection of the Active Gantry
On the SIPLACE 80S machine type it is not possible to work with the SITEST program on both gantries
simultaneously. It is therefore required that one of the gantries be selected prior to the start of the activities.
Select the menu option
Select gantry
from the SITEST main menu and press the RETURN key.
The selection menu for gantry is displayed.
NOTE
If the SITEST program is started for a SIPLACE 80F, menu option "Select gantry" cannot be selected as
the 80F system has only one gantry.
Select the gantry on which you wish to perform the actions and confirm your selection using the
RETURN key.
The number of the active gantry is displayed in the lower right corner of the screen (e.g. "MC-ACTIVE:1"
for gantry 1).
Press the ESC key to return to the SITEST main menu.
