1 Overview
This installation manual provides instructions on installing the Windows Embedded Standard 7
operating system on the machine computer and Vision computer in the following machine
configurations:
– 706.1 SP1 version for the X3 S, X4 S and X4i S placement with computer type BoxPC
627C/827C
It contains information on the scope of delivery and requirements for successful installation.
NOTICE
The Windows Embedded Standard 7 operating system is only used for new
installations. On upgrading to a higher
station software version, there will be no operating
system change or upgrade.

2 Scope of Delivery
A media standard package is available for installing the Windows Embedded Standard 7
operating system.
CAUTION
Installation of the operating system is provided for "C" type computers only
(the computer
type is displayed during the BIOS boot or is registered in the BIOS).
