2. Common Precautionary Items
Basic Precautions
Before operating the unit, please read the instruction manual carefully for correct
operations.
Please keep the instruction manual in a safe place within reach.
Follow the instructions in the instruction manual for correct handling of the unit.
Be sure to fully understand the contents of the safety instructions in the instruction
manual and follow the instructions.
Please keep the precautionary items described in the instruction manual.
When the precautionary items are ignored, it will result in personal injury or property
damage (damage to the flux dispensing unit).
Be sure to follow the operational instructions described in the instruction manual.
Do not modify the unit nor use any parts other than the specified ones for the unit.
Do not perform any operations other than those described in the instruction manual.
Whenever a problem arises, regarding the unit operations, performance, etc., please
contact the marketing department or sales agency of Hitachi High-Technologies for the
solution.
Although the precautionary items have been reviewed repeatedly, an incident far
beyond our expectation may occur.
Not only follow the precautionary instructions described in the instruction manual but
also try to handle the unit carefully at your discretion all the time.
Be sure to strictly keep the above-mentioned instructions. Otherwise, not only wrong
operations of the machine but also personal injury will result.

Notes on Use
Do not modify the machine nor use any parts other than the specified ones. Be sure not
to work with its safety devices detached. Doing otherwise may cause personal injury.
While the machine (GXH Series) is running, keep yourself or an object away from any
moving mechanisms.
Keep your hands away from any moving parts of the machine during operation.
When there is a problem with the machine (GXH Series), locate the cause and assess
the condition. Turn off the power supply if necessary.
After the problem has been rectified completely, reset the machine to its normal
condition.
Do not drop the flux dispensing unit. Otherwise, a foot injury will result or the feeder
itself may be damaged.
Carefully handle each unit one by one and do not drop any.
When the blue and green lamp of the machine (GXH Series) light tower is ON or
flickering (ON and OFF), it indicates that the static machine is in the "Automatic"
mode (standby mode).
No person other than the machine operator is allowed to enter the work area.
In case of a disaster of any kind, earthquake, storm, flood, fire, or lightning,
immediately stop the machine (GXH Series) and turn off the power supply.
When the machine (GXH Series) stops due to a component pickup error, be sure
to remove the mispicked component from the feeder and then start the automatic
operation.
