→ Now select the relevant station machine type for each line, at Machine Type. The
corresponding OIS descriptor will then be automatically displayed in the Descriptor field.

It is assumed that the machine types are known for each line. 4

→ Specify the line name and the path at which the configured monitoring application is to be
stored for this line. A *.gms file with the configuration settings for this line application will then
be saved at the specified path.

4.1.1.3 Step 2 - Configure Production Line
→ This is where you can configure your production line. Select the relevant production line at
Select Line and specify the parameters for access to the SIPLACE OIS database.
→ If you have already configured another application for your production line, you can import the
line configuration from that existing application (.gms file). The equipment information will be
populated from this imported data.
→ This data will be automatically adopted during line import from the OIS.

→ If you have not imported the line configuration from OIS, you will need to manually configure
all machines in the production line. Repeat the procedure for each machine in the line.
– Click on the Add equipment icon in the toolbar. The Select Equipment Descriptor
and Name dialog box will appear.
– Select the equipment description and edit the name for the selected machine.
