Electrostatic
Protected Area
(EPA)
The EPA cover package option is available for the Type 2 Cover printer only.
Each panel on the printer is coated in a conductive layer and the panels are
electrically connected to the adjacent panel creating the Electrostatic Protected
Area. The panels are electrically grounded ensuring surface static deposition is
kept well below 100 Volts.

Rear Panel Labels The rear cover has five labels (one is a general safety label and not detailed
here). The labels are used to inform users of printer safety, delivery status and
environmental condition.
Fifth Leg This label warns the user to retract the fifth leg after the printer has been
levelled.
Environmental -
Substance Release
This label complies with RoHS (China) legislation. It indicates that hazardous
substances, present in the printer, are not released for at least an industry
agreed time period. The number (15) within the symbol indicates the number of
years before the substance may be released.
In the DEK printer, the items listed in the RoHS certificates SJ/T11363-2006
supplied with the printer, contain lead.
Printer Conformity This label gives the following information:

• Machine Sales Order Number
• Machine Type
• Nominal Voltage
• Full Load Current Rating
• Frequency
• Number of Electrical Phases
