5 New Functions in Setup Center 3.3
5.1 Support of new Station Types
Setup Center 3.3 supports the SIPLACE SX 4 station
Setup Center 3.3 supports the WPC 6 on SX Stations.
5.2 Support of new Software Versions
Setup Center 3.3 supports SIPLACE Pro 8.0
Setup Center 3.3 supports Station software 704.
5.3 Support of Station-Wise Download
With Setup Center 3.3 the station-wise Download is supported. Station-wise download is possible on
SIPLACE stations with the software versions SR 505. SR 605, SR 703 and higher.
This means Setup Center can now handle different Setups on the line (e.g. the new Setup is already
active on the first station while another station still uses the previous Setup).
During Online Setup Verification one can do refill of components or activation of blocked tracks in the
different Setups without restrictions. Setup Center always knows the Setup context.
5.4 Support of 3rd Party Feeders on X Series
With Setup Center 3.3 the following 3rd-party Feeders are now supported on X-Series machines with
SW 704:
IPTE Multi Stick Feeder
Data IO RoadRunner
Support of HanSan and Top Engineering LED Feeders

Support of Packaging Unit Chains With More Than 3 Packaging Units
20 Version Description SIPLACE Setup Center 3.3
5.5 Support of Packaging Unit Chains With More Than 3
Packaging Units
In the past Setup Center only supported packaging unit chains with a maximum length of 3 packaging
units (e. g. tape reels). Now, it is possible to manage packaging unit chains with a maximum of 30
packaging units.
With the support of the IPTE Multi Stick Feeder and the Tray Stack Feeder it was necessary to support
longer packaging unit chains as well.
In the Setup Center configuration settings it is now possible to allow chains with more than three
packaging units for normal feeders as well.
E.g. with a max. packaging unit chain length of four it would be possible to have a chain length of four
packaging units on one track at the station.
5.6 Blocking Tracks instead of Tearing Down Tracks
Setup Center 3.3 sets a lock on components, which are physically set-up on the line but are not included
in the currently downloaded Setup. Previous Setup Center Versions performed a teardown instead.
Now such tracks are only blocked in Setup Center and on the line. This means the verification status of
the component is still available in the SC DB. Hereby the information of the component on the specific
feeder and track remains untouched in the SC DB.
If such components are included again in a downloaded Setup later on, the blocked tracks are
automatically re-activated.
There is no need to repeat the setup verification again for such tracks.
This is a big improvement especially for customers using the Partial Setup Download feature in the
SIPLACE Pro Line Control GUI.
In the past components that were not present in the downloaded Setup were just torn down in Setup
Center. Later on, it was necessary to repeat the setup verification for such tracks.
In case components are set-up on the wrong tracks on the line such tracks are also only blocked and
not torn down.
NOTE:
Traceability customers using Setup Center 3.3 who want to use packaging unit chains with more
than three packaging units need to upgrade to Traceability 3.1 first.
Traceability 3.1 is a prerequisite for the use of packaging unit chains with more than three
packaging units. Otherwise, the traceability data will be incorrect.
