Whispering down the line (WDTL)
Whispering is not supported for fiducial measurement of PCB sub panels.
Whispering in mixed lines (with 40x, 50x, 60x) is not supported.
Whispering of ink spots is not possible if the "Recovery placement" option is activated.
Stations where both processing areas are set to "Transport through" interrupt the whispering of
ink spots.
If station-wise download is used, "WDTL" must be specified for all jobs if you wish to whisper
the ink spots.
WDTL is not possible in combination with the conveyor type "synchronous dual conveyor".
WDTL is not possible in lines equipped with a productivity lift.
Manual tray
If tray 51 is used on the permitted locations, the nozzle changer must be removed. (however,
the Jedec tray can be used without removing the nozzle changer).
Coplanarity sensor with 3D coplanarity sensor
The coplanarity module only works in conjunction with the standard stationary component
camera for the Twin Head (type 33).
Mixed operation between the type 37 (3D) and type 17 (2D) coplanarity sensors is not
supported.
The coplanarity module can only be configured on location 3 of a SIPLACE X2 and X3 machine
with Twin Head.
The optional Vision computer is required to operate the coplanarity module with the 3D
coplanarity sensor.
Dipping and coplanarity measurement
For the component types with leads, the coplanarity measurement is only supported for those
with the lead type "Gullwing". The Gullwing leads must not have any notches.
The component to be measured must have at least 5 connections.
The maximum height for components to be measured is 17 mm.
High-reflection leads can impact negatively on measurement
Components which have both balls and leads cannot be measured.
Coplanarity measurement is not possible in conjunction with dipping.
Coplanarity measurement is not carried out at the placement angle. The component is
presented to the coplanarity laser at 0°.
If "inching" (key switch) is enabled, it is not possible to guarantee that a 3D measurement will
be completed successfully, as the specified scan speed is not maintained.
Coplanarity measurement impairs placement performance.
The machine cannot measure components for which both dipping and coplanarity
measurement have been defined.
The Twin Head cannot dip one component and carry out a coplanarity measurement on the
other in a single cycle.
Workaround: Describe the job using a placement sequence that specifies that the relevant
components must not be processed in a single cycle.

MTC 2
The MTC 2 can only be set up on locations 2 and 4 on SIPLACE D3 machines and on
machines of the SIPLACE X-series.
The productivity lift cannot be used if the MTC2 is set up on location 4.
It is only possible to use a Twin Head nozzle changer on a location at which an MTC2 is set up
The component level indicator is not supported for the MTC 2.
WPC 4
The WPC 4 can only be set up on a SIPLACE D1 / D1i, D3, X2 and X3 machine.
The WPC 4 can only be set up on location 1 of the D1 / D1i machine.
The WPC 4 can only be set up on location 2 of the X3 and D3 machine.
The WPC 4 can only be set up on location 2 and 4 of the X2 machine.
It is not possible to use a nozzle changer on location 1 if a waffle pack changer is set up.
The component level indicator is not supported for the waffle pack changer.
The WPC4 can only be used in the one-gantry placement area.
Synchronous dual conveyor
It is not possible to configure the PCB conveyor to extra-wide with a synchronous dual
conveyor.
SITEST test software
Flexible dual conveyor: In order to be able to switch from a dual to single conveyor, mechanical
adaptations must be made.
Changing the position of the fixed edge: Minor mechanical conversion needs to be carried out
on D-series machines in order to convert the PCB conveyor from standard width to extra-width
and vice versa.
Fiducial patterns
Asymmetric fiducial patterns (e.g. triangles) can currently only be used if the board is
processed at an orientation of 0° in the machine.
Omit components
If recovery placement is triggered (e.g. in the event of a power failure or if the machine is
powered down due to a serious machine error during placement), no components may be
omitted during recovery placement.
Interruption of the safety circuit graphical display of the cause of the error
If the safety circuit of the machine is interrupted during production (e.g. component parts not
correctly docked), a window opens at the station computer GUI showing the cause of the
interruption (location of the fault) graphically. This window must be confirmed after the error has
been eliminated to allow the machine to continue processing. Unlike X series machines, D
series machines only provide limited facilities for displaying the precise location of the fault
graphically.

"Long PCB" option
The "Long PCB" option is not supported on a SIPLACE D1 / D1i machine for placing
components higher than 8 mm. Higher components that were placed at the first stop unit could
lead to mechanical damage to the C&P head or incorrect placement at the second stop unit as
a result of interference boundaries.
"Long PCB" option is not supported in combination with flexible dual conveyor.
Teaching/Changing the component shape
Not released for barcode applications.
Changing the X feeder position
Not released for barcode applications.
The new feeder type must be an X feeder (8-88mm).
The new position (track number) must be on the same table.
Auto recovery and manual recovery
Not released for barcode applications.
The "Auto recovery" and "Manual recovery" options must be activated.
Omitting components
Not released for barcode applications.
The "Auto recovery" and "Manual recovery" options must be activated.
Placement of 01005 components
The sleeve is not recognized automatically.
The nozzle peak position is not calculated and corrected.
Only for C&P12 and C&P20 heads, the functionality is not supported for C&P6 heads.
Special sleeves and special nozzles are necessary for C&P12 heads.
On D4 / D4i machines, the placement of 01005 components is only possible on the placement
area 1.
The feeders can only be set on the first 6 positions to the gantry root.
The size of the boards is restricted to 230mm.
The placement capacity will be reduced for approx. 22%.
