3 Upgrade to the 605.xx Software Version

A detailed description on upgrading to the 605.xx software version from different previous software

versions can be found in the Installation Manual to the station software, item no. [00197734-xx].

4 Features of the 605.04 Station Software Version

If not differently described, the features of the 601.xx – 605.03 SP5 station software versions are

also supported by the 605.04 station software version. The main features of the 605.04 station

software version are listed below.

Detailed information about the functions can be found in the online help for the station software.

4.1 Operating System Windows 7

As of this station software version, only the Windows 7 operating system is supported on the

station computer and Vision computer (see "Installation Manual Operating System Windows

Embedded Standard 7", item number [00197737-xx] and the Installation Manual to the station

software, item no. [00197734-xx]).

In Windows 7 the station computer has to be equipped with at least 2 GB memory. If necessary,

station computers in the field have to be exchanged or upgraded with a memory extension. Please

refer to the Technical Information TI2014-09E04.

4.2 Opening SIPLACE Vision Measurement Context Files

SIPLACE Vision measurement context files that have been created on a placement machine with

the 605.04 station software version can only be opened with Vision Teach Station as of the 5.1.2

version.
