3. Tape Feeder Attachment and Detachment
Procedures
Notice
Before setting the tape feeder onto the bank feeder change cart, follow
the instructions below.
•
Lock the caster brake (2 locations) of the bank feeder change cart.
•
If the tape feeder lifts up, the pickup nozzle or machine (Yamaha
modular mounter (chip mounter)) may be damaged or a pickup
malfunction may occur.
Set the tape feeder correctly.
•
When the tape feeder suppressor is moved up or down for the tape
attachment or replacement, make sure that the suppressor does not
rise.
•
Make sure that the tape does not come out.
CAUTION
•
When the bank feeder change cart is to be
moved, hold the handle and move it.
•
When the bank feeder change cart is to be
moved, take care that the cart does not hit your
foot.
In particular, if the oor is not even or the cart
is caught due to a leveling difference or uneven
carpet, cart movement resistance might suddenly
increase.

3.1 Tape Feeder Attachment Procedure
CAUTION
Do not drop the tape feeder, when attaching or
detaching.
Some tape feeder models are rather heavy.
In the case that the feeder is removed with one hand, your
hand might not be able to support the feeder weight when
it is removed from the base, which might cause a fall of
the feeder.
Falling of a tape feeder might cause an injury on your feet
or damage to the feeder.
Hold such feeder with your both hands one by one and
take care not to drop it.
Procedure
(1) Set the reel onto the reel receiving bay in the reel holding section on the bank
feeder change cart.
