5.2.6 Power Supply for Axis Unit
After switching on the main switch, the axis unit is supplied with power from the main power supply via
X13 with 52 VDC and the following voltages are generated:
The voltage supply +/-15 V and 5 V for the electrical connections in the axis unit is generated by the DC/
DC converters U20 and U30. This DC/DC converter generates the 5V and +/- 15V needed for the servo
board and the axis controller The +/-15 V is also needed at the placement heads and for the anti-crash
board (for machines up to axis card type A363). The voltage travels to the main distributor X4qa (sector
2) and then to terminal block X1qa and is distributed from there.

This DC/DC converter is only used for generating 48 V for P&P camera illumination as well as the power
distribution for PCB camera (5/24V) and component camera (24V).

5.2.7.1 Power Supply Tape Cutter
The tape cutters are arranged both in parallel and serial mode. The tape cutters in sector 2 and sector
3 are serial, tape cutters in sector 1 and sector 4 are also arranged in serial mode.

5.2.7.2 Voltage Supply for Hood Fans
The increase in placement performance, optimization of travel paths, rotated gantry and the overlapping
of individual axes leads to increased heat generation inside the machine. This heat can affect the
placement accuracy and the MTBF times. For this reason, each machine hood has been equipped with
four fans for cooling the processing areas.
5-13: Voltage Supply for Hood Fans
The fans are supplied with 24V from the computer unit by the DC/DC converter and are switched via the
safety circuit.
