5.5 Replacing the Proportional Controller (Location 2) [03065425-xx]

Removal
► Switch off the machine, disconnect it from the power supply and secure it to prevent
unauthorized reactivation. Observe the instructions in section 1.2 "Preparatory Work..." [}15].

CAUTION!
Switch off the compressed air supply.
When working on the pneumatic system, always
switch off the compressed air supply.

► Push the lever (1) for the compressed air supply
back, until it is positioned horizontally.
► Open the screw (2) on the inlet filter to vent the
system. Hold a cloth underneath to capture any
escaping oil.
► All pressure gauges must be set to zero.
► Disconnect the machine from the compressed air
supply.

► Loosen the screws(2) fastening the side
cover(1) at location 2 and remove the side cover.

All parts are mounted on a plate.
► Remove the two screws(1) fastening the plate.
ð Now you can move the plate for better access
to all parts.
► Unplug the electrical connections(2) to the pro-
portional controller.

► Remove the three screws(1) fastening the pro-
portional controller and then remove the propor-
tional controller.
Installation
► Follow the removal instructions in reverse order for installation. Also observe the following in-
structions:

► Clean the sealing rings and the adapter plate and insert these again. Observe the in-
structions in section 5.2 "Sealing the Pneumatic Screwed Connections" [}76] in con-
nection with this.
► Tighten the screws fastening the proportional controller with a torque of 2.0 to 2.5
Nm.
