2.2.6.1 Tape Feeder Attachment

CAUTION
When you need to bend down to perform work, you
may hit your head on the tape feeder worktable and
get injured.
Procedure
(1) Remove the tape feeder where components are to be reloaded, from the
feeder base on the bank feeder change cart and attach it onto the tape feeder
holding guide.
(Insert the tape feeder slowly along the tape feeder holding guide to the end).
Insert it to the end.

(2) Attach the tape feeder power connector socket onto the main machine.

(3) Connect the tape feeder connecting cable that has been attached to the main
machine with a magnet, to the tape feeder with the bracket turned down.
(One second after it is connected, the components can be reloaded or the
machine can be adjusted).
Connect it with
the bracket turned down.

CAUTION
When the tape feeder connecting cable is connected
to the tape feeder, unless the tape feeder is held
securely, the tape feeder holding guide may come
off and drop from the tape feeder unit. Connect the
cable with the tape feeder held securely.

2.2.6.2 Tape Feeder Detachment
Procedure
(1) Conrm that the tape feeder operation has been stopped.
(Make sure that the tape feeding or cover tape taking-up operation is
stopped).
(2) Remove the tape feeder connecting cable from the tape feeder and attach it
onto the main machine using a magnet.

(3) Remove the tape feeder from the tape feeder holding guide and attach it onto
the bank feeder change cart.
CAUTION
There are some heavy feeder models. When such
feeders are removed with one hand, the weight of the
feeder removed from the guide cannot be supported
by one hand and the feeder might drop. Remove the
feeder using both hands to support it.
