VACUUM SENSOR EbD
PURPOSE/BENEFIT OF MPU:
The Vac sense works in conjunction with the Vac Tooling
hardware and detects if there is a drop in Vacuum
MACHINE TYPES:

Machines fitted with the Vacuum Tooling requiring Vacuum Sensor
REQUIREMENTS:
Vacuum Sensor can only be fitted if Vacuum Tooling hardware is installed (see MPU 602412*1)

Allen Key Set.
Side Cutters
Medium Philips head Screwdriver.
Medium Flat bladed Screwdriver.
Thread Sealant
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MPU
Removal of Covers for access.
Removal/Fitting of Vacuum Assembly.
Connection of Sensor and Loom.
Set up and test of the option.
PREPARATION
Switch off machine power and disconnect pneumatics
Remove the front lower cover.
Remove the rear lower cover.
Remove the left hand lower side covers to gain access to the Trunking
Remove Vacuum Tooling Assy

DETAILS OF CHANGE
1. VACUUM SENSOR FIT and SET-UP
a. Turn the hysteresis trimmer (HYS) on the vacuum sensor Anti-Clockwise to minimum (L).
b. Remove the (4mm) metal blanking plug screwed into the rear of the Venturi vacuum unit.
c. Fit the vacuum sensor (188981, part of vac sense loom 185060), using a spanner on the metal
base, NOT the plastic body. Use thread sealant sparingly on the sensor threads.
