How to replace consumable parts
1. Nozzle
If the nozzle tip or O-ring is worn out due to the long-term use, this may cause the pickup and mounting error.
Additionally, if the spring-action is not smooth even after cleaning and lubricating the nozzle, the spring may
need to be replaced.
1.1 Replacing the nozzle tip and spring

Remove the nozzle.
1. Press the emergency stop button to put
the machine in the emergency stop
state.
2. Remove the target nozzle manually.

Replace the nozzle tip and spring.
1. Detach the clip.
2. Pull out the nozzle pin.
3. Replace the spring or nozzle tip.
4. Secure the nozzle tip with the pin. A
groove is provided on the nozzle tip.
Insert the pin along the groove.
5. Attach the clip. If the clip is loose or
deformed, replace it.

CAUTION
See chapter 1, "2.1.2 Nozzles", and check that the
nozzle marking (example: 301A, 303A) printed on the
nozzle’s main unit side and the tip shape matches.

Be careful not to deform the clip.

Return the nozzle to its original
position.
Return the nozzle to the original head.

CAUTION
Be sure to return the nozzle to its original head. When
the nozzle has been removed from the nozzle station
(option), return it correctly to the storage position where
the nozzle was removed.

Replace the nozzle O-ring.
Remove the O-ring and replace it with a
new one.
If the O-ring is difficult to remove, remove it
with a precision slotted screwdriver.

2. Replacing nozzle leaf springs
If an error is found after performing the work steps stated in "1.1.2 Checking the nozzle leaf springs" of
Chapter 3, replace the nozzle leaf springs as stated below. If you have a leaf spring installation tool, follow
the latter procedure in this section "

CAUTION
As a rule, be sure to replace a pair of parts even when only the nozzle leaf spring on one side deteriorates.

Remove the nozzle.

Press the emergency stop button to put
the machine in the emergency stop state.

Place a square cloth under the head unit.
3. Remove the nozzle manually from the
head that the target leaf spring is
attached.

CAUTION
When a nozzle station is equipped, store all nozzles of
the standard head into the nozzle station.

Remove the leaf springs.
Remove the mounting screw with a precision
Phillips screwdriver while holding the shaft,
and then remove the leaf springs to be
replaced.

Install the new leaf spring.
With the leaf springs kept pushed upward,
tighten the mounting screw with the Phillips
precision screwdriver to mount the leaf
spring.

CAUTION
Make sure to attach the leaf springs in parallel.

Reattach the nozzle.

Check the nozzle attachment.
1. Insert the nozzle in place and check that
there is no gap between the leaf spring
and the nozzle.
2. Detach and attaching the nozzle several
times to check that no looseness is found.
3. Remove the
square cloth.

CAUTION
Be sure to return the nozzle to its original head. When
the nozzle has been removed from the nozzle station
(option), return it correctly to the storage position where
the nozzle was removed.
