These retrofit instructions describe the retrofit procedure for the short foil removal edge of the tape
feeder module 3x8 mm S.

Due to production tolerances, the splices can snag at the foil removal edge on 3x8 mm S tape
feeder modules. For this reason, a foil removal edge shortened by 0.05 mm is now used in series
production.

(1) Shaft
(2) Pick-up window
(3) Foil removal edge
(4) Set screw M1,6x2,5
Å Release set screw (4) and slide out shaft (1).
Å Replace the 3 foil removal edges (3).
Å Mount foil removal edges (3) and pick-up window (2) by means of shaft (1) on the feeder
module.
Å Secure the shaft with set screw (4).
