1.3.8 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
SIPLACE placement machines are designed and tested for professional use in industrial applica-
tions. Electromagnetic compatibility in terms of the emission of interference cannot be guaranteed
in any other environment.

Operation of system only by qualified personnel
Only staff with the relevant qualifications may start up, operate or otherwise work on
the machine.

1.5 Activity levels
Certain functions or menus may only be executed or accessed. A differentiation is made between
the following activity levels:
– Basic production
– Advanced production
– Machine service
The activity levels Advanced production and Machine service can be password protected.
Basic production 1
This operator level includes those people who have been qualified to operate the machine. These
people are authorized to use any functions associated with operating the machine and may call
up any menus needed to use the machine.
Advanced production 1
This operator level includes those people who have been qualified to programming the machine.
These people are authorized to use any advanced functions (e.g. SIPLACE Station Programming,
manual operations, teaching fiducials).
Machine service 1
Only for qualified personnel. (E.g. setting or changing machine options.)
