(3) Loosen two setscrews fastening the upper
part of the head and detach the holder from
the head.
Carefully loosen two setscrews be-
cause the holder pops out upward.
(4) Detach the miniature stroke bearing (MSB).
(4-1) Loosen and remove the setbolt and
detach the MSB plate.
(4-2) Detach the MSB shaft and the MSB outer
cylinder.
Pull out the MSB shaft from the upper
side. Use a pair of tweezers to pull out the
outer cylinder from the lower side.

Washing of Miniature Stroke Bearing
(1) Wash the MSB shaft and the outer cylinder
with kerosene in the supersonic cleaner for
approx. 5 to 10 minutes.
(a) Do not wash the cam follower
section of the MSB shaft.
Be sure to use a cleaning jig to
prevent any cleaning solvent from
touching the cam follower section.
(b) Alcohol can also be used in place
of kerosene.
In this case, wipe the surfaces of
the MSB shaft and the outer cylin-
der quickly after washing and
grease them up.
(2) Apply the pressure of air blowing to the MSB
shaft and the outer cylinder to blow off the
internal dirt and kerosene.
