10.7.1.1 Removing shifted gears 1 and 2
► Remove the right side cover (see 10.3.2 "Remov-
ing/fitting the right front cover" [}231])
► Remove the circlip(1) on shifted gear1.
► Remove the washer (2) on shifted gear1
► Remove shifted gear1.(3)
► Remove the circlip(4) on shifted gear2.
► Remove the washer (5) on shifted gear2
► Remove shifted gear 2.(6)
► Clean the marked parts of the shifted gear hous-
ing (1) with a lint-free cloth and remove the
grease from the gear axes with a little ethanol.
► Slightly grease the gear axes (2,3) with Poly-
lubGLY801.
10.7.1.2 Fitting shifted gears 1 and 2
► Fit shifted gear2 with the smaller toothed wheel
pointing downwards onto the marked axis. (1)
Make sure that the smaller toothed wheel en-
gages down in shifted gear3. (2)
► Fit the washer into place.(3)
► Secure shifted gear 2 with a new circlip.(4)

► Fit shifted gear1 with the smaller toothed wheel
pointing downwards onto the axis. (1)
Make sure that the smaller toothed wheel en-
gages down in shifted gear 2 .(2)
The large toothed wheel for the shifted gear will
engage above with the tape drive pinion.(3)
► Put the washer in place.(4)
► Secure shifted gear 1 with a new circlip.(5)
► Fasten the right side cover (see10.3.2 "Remov-
ing/fitting the right front cover" [}231] ).
10.7.1.3 Removing shifted gear 3
► Remove the left side cover (see 10.3.1 "Remov-
ing/fitting the left side plate" [}230])
► Remove the circlip(1) on the gear stage.
► Remove the washer.(2).
► Remove the gear stage. (3)
► Clean the marked parts of the gear stage hous-
ing(4) with a lint-free cloth and remove the
grease from the gear axle with a little ethanol. (5)
► Slightly grease the gear axle with Poly-
lubGLY801.
10.7.1.4 Fitting shifted gear 3
► Fit shifted gear3 with the smaller toothed wheel
pointing downwards, onto the axis(1).
Make sure that the smaller toothed wheel en-
gages below in shifted gear2 (2).
The large toothed wheel engages with the
toothed wheel on the pin wheel.(3)
► Fit the washer into place.(4)
► Secure the shifted gear with a new circlip.(5).
► Fasten the right side cover (see10.3.2 "Remov-
ing/fitting the right front cover" [}231] ).

10.7.2 Shifted gears for foil drive

NOTICE
Avoiding gear damage
If your feeder module has a bronze shifted gear, this will need to be completely replaced
with a plastic shifted gear.
The use of bronze and plastic shifted gears at the same time is not permitted and can
cause damage to the gear unit.
Shifted gears may not be replaced one at a time. Always replace the complete shifted gear
assembly.
