2.5 Retrofit
2.5.1 Retrofitting the protective covers
If there are still riveted covers on the machine, they must be replaced with welded machine covers.2
Please inform the SIPLACE Service Munich. 2

The welded covers are more torsionally rigid, so they close more reliably. 2

2.6 Replacing the cover safety profile
Retrofit kit: Cover safety profile (Item no.: 00378378-01)
(all machines up to B 102). 2
: If the welded covers are already fitted, check whether the following changes have already been
made. Retrofit if necessary.
: To retrofit any missing parts, please use the "Retrofit kit: cover safety profile“ (item
no.:00378378-01).

2.6.1 Safety profile
: If the safety profile is not the most up-to-date version, then it should be replaced.

: If an older version of the safety profile is mounted, change it for the new one.
Note the following:
– Stick in the screws fro fixing the actuator with Loctite 241 (item no.: 02011037S01).
– Minimize the play of the actuator with the adjusting screw.
: Check the
– correct mechanical (smooth engaging) function and the
– electrical function (interruption of the emergency stop loop and signaling circuit) of the cover
safety switch.
: Adjust the actuator, if necessary.
