6. Marketing Strategy
SIPLACE Setup Center 8.0 SP1 is the successor of SIPLACE Setup Center 7.1.
Setup Center 8.0 SP1 is ready for deployment in each region and for standard installations.
Standard installation is defined as a stand-alone solution quoted by sales and installed by service.
Integrated installations (integration of SIPLACE network in a customer network) have to be quoted and
installed with Project Manager. In most cases, this will involve installing stand-alone solutions as a first step
and then the integrated solution as a second step.
Important during the introduction phase:
Contact the regional service manager to discuss the needs of the customer.
Service must be included in the customer discussions concerning any configuration, ramp up,
installation and training.
Training must be sold.
Service will use a working list/questionnaire to aid in understanding and documenting the customer
needs.
