5.11 Revision of the traceability feature
Compared with Version 503.04 of the traceability feature, data provision for the XML files which are
generated has been improved and key aspects of the functionality have been corrected (see below).
The behaviour of the traceability feature has been changed. The XML files are only written when the
PCB leaves the station (either in the normal manner or if it is removed by hand). Problems may
occur if the machine is switched off while a PCB is still in the station.
Other improvements:
- Stabilization of the software
- Extension of the logging mechanisms
- Traceablity Version 1.1 or 2.1
- Manual input of the PCB barcode is documented in errorLabel
- Indication of whether a subpanel was inked out or not (omit = TRUE / FALSE)
- Activation of the traceability option
- Activation of the GEM option
- Modified default setting for the scanning of barcodes if the previous setup was identical
5.11.1 Extension to support traceability version 1.1 or 2.1
Previously, the PCB barcode was logged in the XML file when the traceability data was output. It
was however not clear how this data was entered in the output (automatically after successful
barcode scanning or by manual entry). Manual entry often resulted in duplicate or missing XML files
from a given machine. For this reason, manual entry of the PCB barcode is now documented in the
file using the errorLabel (4096).
In addition, information as to whether subpanels were inked out or not is also logged.
This is done by assigning the additional attribute omit to each subpanel:
omit = "false" Î Subpanel was assembled
omit = "true" Î Subpanel was inked out and was not assembled

5.11.2 Activation of the traceability feature
In this version, the traceability feature can be activated on the SIPLACE machines.
Activation of the component level indicator, which is required for traceability, is carried out
automatically. This means that it is not necessary to reinstall the traceability option for subsequent
software updates.
5.11.3 Activation of the GEM feature
In this version, the GEM feature can be activated on the SIPLACE machines.
This means that it is not necessary to reinstall the GEM option for subsequent software updates.
