2.4 User Classification
Work may not be performed on or at the system without detailed knowledge
of the corresponding section of the operating instructions. Work may only be
performed by appropriately trained and qualified personnel. All warnings,
cautions and danger notices must be observed.
Qualified Personnel Qualified or adequately trained personnel are persons who are familiar with
setup, operation and maintenance of the system, and who possess
appropriate qualifications. These qualifications might include:
Training, instruction and/or authorization in the following areas: enabling,
grounding and identifying electrical circuits and system components, as
well as switching them on and off, in accordance with applicable safety
standards
Training or instruction in the use and care of suitable safety equipment in
accordance with applicable safety standards.
First aid training
The operating software is laid out such that certain functions and menus can
only be executed or accessed by appropriately trained personnel. The
following classifications are included in the software.
Operator This classification includes persons who have been trained to operate the
system. They are permitted to execute system operating functions, and are
able to access the menus required for system operation.
Machine operators may only perform work for which they have been
adequately trained, and which they have thoroughly mastered!
Setup Technician Setup technicians must complete special training and are authorized to set
the system up. Setup work includes, for example:
Changing conveyor speed and adjusting temperatures
Loading and saving projects
Testing existing temperature profiles
Supervisor The supervisor is authorized to service the system, delete report files and
enter system settings.
Administrator The administrator is authorized to service and make adjustments to the
system, delete report files and enter system settings.
Service Technician

This classification is reserved for technicians employed by
Rehm Thermal Systems. They have been trained to service the system, to
make modifications and to install any built-in accessories.

2.5 Handling Flammable Materials
The following applies to dryers and systems in which flammable materials
are processed:
All requirements in accordance with DIN EN 1539 „Dryers and ovens, in
which flammable substances are released“ must be adhered to for techni-
cal applications which are implemented with the system.
The design basis set forth in the BGG 909 standard must be adhered to
ovens and dryers for coating materials (VBG24).
2.6 Recommendations for the use of chemical cleaning agents
Please use only alcohol-free, non-flammable or flame-retardant agents for
cleaning the soldering oven.

Rehm Thermal Systems assumes no liability for direct or consequential
damages which result from noncompliance with the specifications included
in this standard.
If these regulations are not adhered to, authorization to operate the system
is rendered null and void.
Note!
Before closing the oven, it is essential to check that no cleaning agent con-
tainers (bottles, tins etc.) have been left in the oven chamber!
