Ceramic substrate centering unit for the SIPLACE PCB Handling,
item no.: 00116814-02, type 2, consisting of:
- Rocker with clamping element, installed (for movable conveyor side)
- Holddown with rocker actuator, installed (for movable conveyor side)
- Guide, short
- Holddown for stationary conveyor side
- Guide assembly, RH side (fasten with the screws previously removed)
- Slide assembly, X-direction, incl. proximity switch and compressed air connection
- Cable for proximity switch, with connector
- Cable for solenoid valve, with solenoid valve connector
- Compressed air hose
- Valve for ceramic substrate centering unit (required when installing a 2nd centering unit)*
*) As standard, there is a solenoid valve on the back of the compressed air unit (see Fig.
2.4.4).
- Green plastic rail
Used if the substrate is only to be centered in the Y-direction.
NOTE:
The components indicated under "Additional Material Required" are not included in the retrofit kit.

DANGER
Strictly adhere to the instructions in the DANGER text in Section 2.2.
In the case of dismantled component table / component changeover table / dismantled WPC, it is
also true:
High risk of injury exists from stationary blade and movable blade and the tape deflector of the
cutter, even when the machine has been turned off.
Never reach into the pneumatic cutter from below or into the empty-tape duct from above, not
even to resolve a problem (e.g., when tape is jammed).
Å Move the conveyor to maximum width (if a dual conveyor is installed:
conveyor (1 and 2), so that you will be able to remove the lifting table(s) plate during a subse-
quent step.
Å Afterwards the lifting table plate must remain lowered so that the springs of the holddowns are
not under tension.
Å First, position the gantry or gantries over the area of the PCB conveyor such that you can re-
move the WPC, the component changeover table or the movable component changeover table
out of the machine without damaging the placement head.
NOTE:
At F4, F4-6, F5: The changeable component table (next to the WPC) can remain installed since
there is enough access room to work on the PCB conveyor after the WPC is removed.
Å Disconnect the movable component changeover table from the machine now and move it out
of the machine.
Å Turn the machine OFF, disconnect the machine from the mains and turn off the flow of com-
pressed air at the compressed air unit. Actuate the needle valve to bleed the compressed air
lines (see DANGER text in Section 2.2).
Å If a (non-movable) component changeover table has to be removed, use a pallet truck to move
it out of the machine or move the WPC out of the machine.
