NOTICE
Example
The following tasks are described using the example of a CPP nozzle magazine. The procedure
is the same for other nozzle magazines. Any relevant differences will be mentioned explicitly.
► Make sure that you use the correct cleaning boxes for your nozzles.
► Remove a full nozzle magazine from the nozzle
changer. When handling a nozzle magazine which is
not full, pay attention to the position in the nozzle
changer. At the end of the cleaning procedure, make
sure that the nozzle magazine is reinserted into the
nozzle changer in the same position.
CAUTION!
If you are using both plastic and ceramic nozzles in the
same magazine, remove the plastic nozzles. Plastic noz-
zles can not be cleaned with the ultrasonic bath.
► Press the cleaning box onto the nozzle magazine.
CAUTION!
Make sure that you use the correct cleaning rack for the
head used.
See "4.4.2 Nozzle Magazines - Overview" [ ➙ 33]
► Open the slide on the nozzle magazine.

► Pull off the cleaning box, together with the nozzles.
► Place an empty cleaning box into the ultrasonic bath.
► Fill the ultrasound bath with cleaning fluid until the
cleaning boxes are covered with a layer about 1 mm
deep.
NOTICE!
All cleaning boxes have the same height. It therefore
does not matter which cleaning box you use to test the fill-
ing level.
► Place the cleaning box with the nozzles onto an emp-
ty cleaning box.
► Place the cleaning boxes with the nozzle tips facing
downwards into the ultrasonic bath. Also observe the
following instructions:

NOTICE
Cleaning the nozzles
► The fluid level should not exceed or undershoot the prescribed height by more than 2 mm
as this could impair the cleaning effect.
► Only the ceramic tips may come into continuous contact with the cleaning fluid. These
should reach into the fluid by approx. 2 mm.
► Make sure that the nozzle tips do not come into contact with the cleaning vessel or other
metal parts.
► Make sure that the plastic parts of the nozzle do not come into contact with the cleaning
fluid.
► The nozzle magazines may not be placed into the cleaning fluid.
► The recommended cleaning time for normal levels of nozzle dirt is 10 to 15 min. This time
may vary, depending on the type of dirt.
► At the end of the cleaning time, take the cleaning box
out of the ultrasonic bath.
► Turn the cleaning box so that the nozzle tips face up-
wards.
► Place the guidance for the plastic brush into the
cleaning box.
