► For SW703.02 and higher only: switch the placement machine on and reset the maintenance cycle
counter for the relevant assemblies.
Overview of lubrication systems on the gantry
The lubrication systems are located on the loose bearing
side of the gantry! Each gantry has two lubrication sys-
tems.
► Unscrew the two lubrication systems (1) and (2) from
the gantry. One lubrication system is on the side fac-
ing you and the other one is on the side of the gantry
facing away from you.
► Use a dry cloth to clean the Y axis rollers, linear
guides and scales.
► Move the gantry twice over the entire length. Now
clean the Y axis rollers and linear guides again.
► Screw the protective caps off the new lubrication sys-
tems.
CAUTION!
Take care not to distort the felt insert.
► Screw the new lubrication systems hand-tight into
place.
► Repeat the procedure on the second gantry, if neces-
sary.

Moving the Conveyor Sides
► Move all conveyor sides to one side of the conveyor.
DC: Use the station software to set the dual conveyor to single conveyor mode (right).
SC: Use the station software to move the moveable side to one side of the conveyor.
► First perform the following cleaning and preserving steps only to the side of the conveyor which is
now free.
Cleaning and Preserving the Hexagonal Shafts
CAUTION
Observe the exact order
► Observe the following steps in exactly the order shown.
NOTICE
Keeping the clamping surfaces clean (dual conveyor only)
► During work, keep the clamping surface free of any dirt or oil. This makes subsequent
cleaning much easier.
Overview of the hexagonal shafts in the conveyor
► Apply Teflon oil to a lint-free cloth and clean the hex-
agonal shafts (1) in the conveyor.
Alternatively you can also use a SIPLACE cleaning
tissue.
CAUTION!
Never apply the Teflon oil to the cloth inside the machine.
Where possible, go away from the machine.
► Repeat the procedure for all hexagonal shafts in the
conveyor.
