1.3 Cleaning the Nozzle Fluorescent Seal (Monthly)
Point
A soiled nozzle seal can diminish the light required for CCD camera operation, resulting
in unstable vision processing.
Procedure
Use a brush to remove dust from the nozzle seal. If vision processing errors still occur
frequently, replace the nozzle seal.
(Refer to 3.2 “Replacing the Nozzle’s Fluorescent Seal” for detailed procedure of
replacing the nozzle seal.)
Note: Do not use a cloth to wipe dust off the nozzle seal. Rubbing the seal's surface in this
manner can embed the dust making it impossible to remove.

1.4 Emptying the Reject Parts Box (Every 8 Hours)
Point
Parts which are judged NG at vision processing are sent to the reject parts box without
being mounted on the board.
Procedure
Pull the reject parts box out by hand and discard the NG parts which have collected
there.
WARNING
Always be sure to cut the main power before carrying out
any work.
Note: Reject parts boxes are attached alongside nozzle changer 1 and 2.

1.5 Cleaning the Parts Camera Prism (Monthly)
Point
Periodical cleaning of the prism enables the acquisition of sharp images which facilitate
stable vision processing and parts pick-up.
To clean the camera prism on the XY robot 1, access the machine from side 2.
To clean the camera prism on the XY robot 2, access the machine from side 1.
Procedure
CAUTION
Ensure the nozzle station is lowered before carrying out
inching. The XY-robot will be damaged if it interferes with
the nozzle station.
WARNING
Always be sure to cut the main power before carrying out
any work.
1. Execute inching to move X/Y robots 1 and 2 to side 2 of the machine.
Note: The procedure for cleaning the prism of the parts camera at X/Y robot 1 is described
here. To clean the prism of the parts camera at X/Y robot 2, move X/Y robots 1 and
2 to side 1 of the machine.
