1.8 Cleaning the Inside of the Machine (Weekly)
Point
Parts and other foreign matter can fall into the machine's interior as the machine
operates. Such matter should be removed periodically in order to keep the interior clean.
Procedure
WARNING
Always be sure to cut the main power before carrying out
any work.
1. Use a brush to remove the foreign matter from the machine's interior. Chip scraps
are especially likely to be found in the following areas of the machine:
• PFU device table
• Around the board lifter
• At the top of the nozzle changer, and at the plate bottom
• At the base area below the conveyor
2. Use a dry cloth to wipe grease from areas which are not specified as lubrication
points.

1.9 Cleaning the Nozzle Shaft (Every 1000 Hours)
Point
Dust and particles that cling to the nozzle shaft have a negative influence on placement.
Therefore, the nozzle shaft should be cleaned every 1000 hours.
To carry out nozzle shaft maintenance, a special spanner is required.
Procedure
WARNING
Always be sure to cut the main power before carrying out
any work.
1. Remove the nozzle holder from the turret.

2. Insert the spanner at the lower end of the shaft and loosen the bolt.
Notes:
1. The shaft may be damaged if the spanner is not used carefully when loosening the bolt.
2. Remove the bolt in such a way that the bearing is not propelled from its socket due to
the spring’s pressure.
3. Clean the surface of the shaft using a dry cloth, and reapply lubricant.
Specified lubricant: EVERS-2
4. When reassembling the shaft, apply Locktite 222 to the screw of the bolt, and use
the special spanner to attach the shaft, tightening it to a torque of 2 N·m
(20 kgf·cm).
Note: Ensure the Locktite 222 does not come into contact with the bearings.
5. Attach the nozzle holder to the unit.
