4.7 Head Section
Notice
Head U/D Ball Screw (HL-Axis)
(1) Wipe off the old grease with a rag and
apply a small amount of new grease to the
groove of the ball screw with a syringe
(2) After lubrication, move the HL-axis up
and down 25 mm five times using the
manual axis operation to smooth the grease.

(3) Grease should be applied every 3 months
after the initial month.
Apply grease, taking care that
the grease does not stick to the
sensor.

Every 3 Months Cleaning and Lubrication
(DAPHNE EPONEX GREASE No. 1)
Required Time: 5 minutes
If foreign objects adhere to the cam
followers, remove them with a pair of tweezers.
Apply grease (0.01 cc) to the upper sides
of the cam followers with a syringe.
(a) "0.01 cc" is almost equivalent
to the size of "1005 Chip".
(b)
Use No. 19 (brown) nozzle.

Center Spline
Every 3 Months Lubrication
(DAPHNE EPONEX GREASE No. 1)
Required Time: 4 minutes
Apply grease to the groove of the center spline
with a syringe.

Nozzle Change Cam Face (Upper Side)
Every 3 Months Cleaning and Lubrication
(DAPHNE EPONEX GREASE No. 1)
Required Time: 5 minutes
If foreign objects adhere to the cam face,
remove them with a pair of tweezers.
Apply grease (0.01 cc) to the upper side of
the cam face with a syringe.
(a) "0.01 cc" is almost equivalent
to the size of "1005 Chip".

Required Time: 30 minutes
Pull up vacuum filter holder with the filter attachment/
detachment jig. Replace 2 vacuum filters as shown in
the figure below.
Note
Use commercially available tweezers
for filter replacement.
When replacing filter / Lubrication /
Required time: 30 minutes per head

Apply grease to the filter holder O-rings.

4.7 Head Section
NOTICE
Make sure of the lter folder insertion direction, and
then insert the folder securely to the end.
Make sure that the lter folder upper surface is
aligned with the top block upper surface.
NOTICE
Apply a thin coating of grease (DAPHNE GREASE
MP No. 1) to lter folder O-ring periodically. Lack of
grease may cause O-ring damage or solidication.
Filter Holder
Make sure that the height
of the filter folder is aligned
with that of the top block.
