2. Common Precautionary Items
When there is a problem with the machine (SIGMA-G4/G5), locate the cause
and assess the condition. Set the power breaker to "OFF".
Aftertheproblemhas
beenrectiedcompletely,resetthemachinetoits
normal condition.
When the tower light (green) of the machine (SIGMA-G4/G5) is ON or ashing, it
indicates that the static machine is in the "Automatic" mode (standby mode).
In case of a disaster of any kind, earthquake, storm, ood, re, or lightning,
immediately stop the machine (SIGMA-G4/G5) and turn off the power supply.
When the machine (SIGMA-G4/G5) stops due to a component pickup error
, be sure to
remove the miss-picked component from the feeder and start the automatic operation.

Notes on Installation, Transfer and Maintenance
Do not install or transfer the machine on the customer side after shipment.
To ensure perfect operation of the machine, including safety and accuracy, only our
installation service department will install the machine or transfer it to another place.
Only the maintenance work on items described in this manual should be performed by
the customer. Please read the instruction manual carefully before maintenance work.
Do not perform any maintenance work on items that are not described in this manual.
Otherwise, not only breakdown of the machine but also personal injury may result.
When an alert label has deteriorated and become illegible, contact our service
department.
Only a well-trained service person should perform maintenance work carefully
through for the machine in compliance with the instructions.
Before maintenance work, set the power breaker of the machine (SIGMA-G4/
G5) to “OFF” and lock it with the padlock.
Designate a person who can have charge of the padlock key.
If the provided padlock is lost or damaged, purchase its substitute.
Residual voltages may remain behind for a few minutes in the internal devices
of the machine after power interception.
Before performing any maintenance work, be sure to wait for more than 10 minutes
until the DC power lamp and the charge lamp of the servo amplier turn "OFF" after
the power breaker of the machine (SIGMA-G4/G5) is set to "OFF".

machine. Special caution should be paid not to touch them.

attached.
If a safety cover is detached, be sure to reattach it.
Be sure to close the magazine door before operating the
machine.
