Press [Enter] to activate your selection
Use the cursor keys to select whether to continue ("Yes") or cancel ("No").
Warning:
The C: partition will be formatted. All data which has not been saved will now be deleted.
Confirm your selection with <RETURN>. The installation is then continued.
You are now requested to insert the floppy MCRMOS Disk -1/2- into the drive.
After both floppies have been installed, the message "Installation finished" appears.
The operating system has been completely installed.
Now remove the floppy from the drive and switch the machine off and then on again.

4.5.4 Troubleshooting
If the installation program terminates prematurely due to an error, remove the floppy from the
drive and switch the machine off.
Insert floppy #1 into the drive and switch the machine on again.
Try installing the machine controller operating system again.
Note:
If the software can still not be installed on the second attempt, contact your Service center.
4.6 Manual installation of the machine controller software
If it is necessary to install the machine controller software after installation has been completed, do
so as follows:
Open the Start menu and select Programs Æ Siplace Æ MC Distributor. The installation is
started.
Follow the instructions on screen.

4.7 BIOS setup for station computers with a CPU086 (SIPLACE X-
series)

Settings marked in blue, bold and italics have been changed from the default BIOS settings.
4.7.1 Setup page "Standard CMOS Setup"
This option is used to enter basic information about the computer hardware, for setting the system
clock and for defining error handling on system startup.
Note:
Loading the Fail Safe or Optimized Defaults modifies the entries for Drive A and B, Video and Halt On!
The IDE drives and memory sizes are entered automatically.
4.7.1.1 Date and Time
Mark the relevant value with the cursor and use the <Page up>/<Page down> or <+>/<-> keys to
change the value.

¾ IDE Primary Slave
¾ IDE Secondary Master
¾ IDE Secondary Slave
The names of all IDE devices detected in the system are entered here.
The IDE ports integrated in the CPU module make a primary and secondary channel available for
connecting up to 4 IDE hard disks or other IDE devices.
Each channel supports up to two IDE devices (Master and Slave).
If you select one of the four ports, you are taken to a submenu where the selections and settings
described below are available.
4.7.1.2 IDE HDD Autodetection
If you press Return, the system searches for an IDE device on the corresponding channel.
