Software Version 501.xx 01/99 Issue 16.1 Introduction
16 - 3
Group 3 Machine Malfunction:
This group contains all shutdown causes that resulted from malfunctions within the machine.
Within group 3 the malfunction is given highest priority that has occurred last. The currently active
malfunction is thus terminated.
Type of event: Status:
Cartridge 1 empty Failed
Cartridge 2 empty Failed
Cartridge 3 empty Failed
Unidentified error Failed
General machine malfunction Failed
Barcode reading error Failed
No assigned cause Failed
Fiducial error Failed
Track error Failed
Transport error Failed
Replacement of glue wiping roll Failed
Group 4 Setting-Up Mode:
This group comprises all machine states that can be assumed by the activation of special functions
through the operator.
Within group 4 the status is given highest priority that is signalled last. Any currently active malfunction
is thus interrupted although not terminated. A group 4 status can only be terminated by the respective
end message (e.g. in the case of state "Single function / Vision Menu" by exiting from the Vision Menu).
Type of event: Status:
Cycle mode active Interrupted
Keyswitch in SLOW position Interrupted
Single function / Vision Menu (Teach-in) Interrupted
Single function / Vision Menu (Single functions) Interrupted
NOTE
All times of incidents are evaluated that occurred in a given group.
If, for example, an event associated to group 3 has occurred and if subsequently a group 4 event is
encountered due to changeover to Single Functions, the time from the first occurrence of the group 3
event up to the transition to group 4 is attributed to the particular event of group 3.

Waiting for PCB in center conveyor
Start: Start of the PCB transport from the input conveyor to the center conveyor.
End: The PCB is located on the center conveyor, the center conveyor is switched off.
Wait until output conveyor/center conveyor is clear
Start: The last position of the PCB has been assembled and the PCB is to be transported to the
output conveyor, yet the output conveyor is occupied by another PCB.
End: The PCB is located on the output conveyor, the conveyor belt is switched off.

Start: The station cannot place any more components, the Track Error menu is displayed.
End: End of error handling (the operator selects "Continue placement" bzw. "Abort placement").
General machine malfunction
Explanation: The term "General machine malfunction" encompasses all malfunctions that have not
explicitly been assigned a specific cause.
Start: Detection of the malfunction, the corresponding Error menu is displayed.
End: End of error handling (the operator selects "Continue placement" or "Abort placement").

Start: Identification of the transport error, i.e. the conveyor belt is running, Timeout is signalled
and the Transport Error menu is displayed.
End: End of error handling (the operator selects "Continue placement" or "Abort placement")
Barcode error
Start: Barcode cannot be read (machine is in the barcode mode).
End: End of error handling.
