2.4.1 Components and Use of FSB
- Title Bar
On this line the title of the respective application program (e.g. "Package Form Editor") is displayed
from which the FSB was called up.
- Filter Field
Here the path (see section 2.3) is displayed.
By default, this field is occupied by the current application program, it can, however, also be edited
directly by the user.
The filter name is subdivided into two parts:
The front part contains the path within the directory hierarchy,
the rear part contains so-called
wildcards
enabling a filter to be placed over the entries in the
current directory within the hierarchy.
Example: /master data:GF-Bibliothek/*.gf
- Arrow button
Each click of the arrow button causes the directory structure to go back in the
hierarchy
by one level
(e.g. subdirectory A1 --> directory A --> main directory).
- Filter button
When the filter button is clicked on, the elements (directories, files) of the respective hierarchy level
(in accordance with the path displayed in the filter field) are displayed on the selection list.
- Selection list
From this list, files or directories can be selected. Directories are identified by an asterisk in front of
their names.
The user can select an element from the list by clicking. Using the scroll bars all elements of the
contents contained on the list can be displayed.
When making a selection, a distinction is to be made between "one-time click" and "double-click".
One-time clicking on a file or directory ---> the name of the file or directory is transferred to the
selection field.
Double-clicking on a file ---> the file name is transferred to the selection field and the OK button
is activated simultaneously, i.e. the selection of the file has been correctly completed.
Double-clicking on a directory ---> the directory name is transferred to the filter field.
The selection list is now supplied with the new data.
- Selection field
This field is filled by clicking on an element on the selection list or by direct editing by the user.
