The spectrum of X tape feeders has been extended to include linear vibration feeders and label

presenters. With an adapter you can convert S linear feeders and label presenters into ones suit-

able for use with the X series component trolley. The adapter performs electronic as well as me-

chanical functions: it converts the communication signals from the S feeder into signals

conforming to the extended X-series protocol. Additional functions, such as feeder module iden-

tification, have also been implemented.

S linear feeders and label presenters can not be configured at the component trolley, if this is in

the accessible range of a 20 segment Collect&Place CA head.

An adapter plate is supplied as standard with the adapter for X-series feeder modules:

– The adapter plate should be used for component heights up to 16.5 mm.

– Component heights between 16.5 mm and 25 mm are processed without an adapter

plate.
