2.6.8 Safety Instructions for Emptying the Waste Bin for Unused Tapes

Fig. 2.6 - 6 Safety instructions for emptying the waste bin for unused tapes
The waste tape bin must be pulled out of the component trolley for emptying. There is a risk of
catching your thumbs as you do so.
To avoid this risk, hold the waste tape bin with your fingers on the underside of the handle and
place your thumb on the handle.
Do NOT put your thumbs in the gap between the tape container and waste tape bin as you
could catch your thumbs if you do.

2.6.9 Risk of Collision Between Reject Container and Component Sensor on the
C&P20 CA Placement Head
If the component or nozzle reject bin is not inserted correctly, this could cause a collision between
the component sensor of the C&P20 CA head and the reject bin. To avoid this risk a new reject
bin was designed for the use at locations without SWS. This reject bin slides safely into the given
position when inserted. The height of the reject bin was also reduced so as to prevent the risk of
collision as far as possible when the bin is not inserted correctly.
To differentiate it, the new reject bin has item number 03003719-06. It can be ordered under this
item number with immediate effect.

NOTE 2
Replace all waste tape bins previously used for the CA series machines with this new reject
bin.
Until this is done, make sure that the existing reject bins are inserted carefully.
The CA series machines may only be operated with the new reject bins [03003719-06].
The old reject bins can, for example, be used for the HF series machines, as these are not
configured with C&P20 CA heads.

2.6.10 ESD Machine Safety
Only use nozzles that are identified as conductive. This is the only way to meet the requirements
for the ESD safety of the machine.
