Attaching the maintenance label
Fitting the front plate
Remove the front plate. For details, refer to the service manual.
Fitting the Placement Head
Fit the placement head back onto the gantry. Read the service manual for your machine first.
Remove the protective cap from the component sensor.
Switch the placement machine on at the main switch.
Perform a reference run.
If you have replaced the vacuum hoses on the DP drive, perform a vacuum check. If there are still
problems, have the hold circuit checked by the SIPLACE service team.
Calibrate the placement head, preferably using the FHE function. Read the service manual for your
machine first.
For SW703.02 and higher only: Reset the maintenance cycle counter for the corresponding assem-
blies.
Remove any label which may still be present from the
placement head.
Remove any adhesive residues and clean the area.
Attach the label and enter the date and, if required,
the meter count, depending on how you determine
your maintenance intervals.

CAUTION
Do not get the heads mixed up!
Unless otherwise specified, all references made apply equally to the C&P20, C&P20 A,
C&P20 M and C&P20 P head.
Maintenance of the C&P20, C&P20 A, C&P20 M and C&P20 P heads is largely identical.
Any relevant differences will be mentioned explicitly.
The C&P20 M is only used with CA and Micron machines.
NOTICE
Example
All tasks are described using the example of a C&P20 A head. The procedure is the same for
other C&P20 variants. Any relevant differences will be mentioned explicitly.

CP20 Differenti ation
Differentiation of the C&P20 head variants
The C&P20/A/M and the C&P20 P head differ in many details. They are easily identified by the following
features:
1. The C&P20 P can be identified by the fan. This fan is not present on the C&P20/A/M heads.
2. The component sensor is flatter and wider on the C&P20 P than on the C&P20/A/M.
CAUTION
Do not confuse the different C&P20 head variants.
Parts from the C&P20/A/M head can not usually be used for the C&P20 P head (and vice
versa)!
