Removing the Holding Circuit
► Removal and installation of the holding circuit must be carried out by authorized personnel. Read the
service manual for your placement head for more information.
Fitting the Holding Circuit and Silencer
► Correctly position the sealing disk on the holding circuit. Make sure all openings are aligned. Pay
particular attention to the centering pin.
► Insert the holding circuit. Make sure that the centering pin is positioned in the hole opposite, in the
star carrier.
► Tighten the three screws fastening the holding circuit with a torque of 0.25 Ncm.
► Do not fit the silencer yet.
DIsmantle the holding circuit
► Dismantle the holding circuit.
Unscrew the three protruding fastening screws (only
these) and then remove the holding circuit.
Seat of holding circuit
► Check the seat of the holding circuit (1) for dirt. Clean
the seat with a lint-free cloth, if required.
► Replace the holding circuit (2) with a new/cleaned
holding circuit.
► Check the sealing disk (3) for damage and replace if
necessary.

Cleaning the Raceway and the Jaw
NOTICE
C&P20 P only
This maintenance task is only performed on the C&P20 P.
This maintenance task is not required for the C&P20/A/M.
➢ The reflecting ring/silencer must be dismantled for
this task.
► Push a cleaning stick past the Z axis (1), through two
segments and as far as the raceway.
► Rotate the star with the cleaning stick once, to the
other side of the Z axis.
► Pull the cleaning stick out of the star.
► Unthread a segment.
► Clean the upper and lower guideway (1) of the jaws
with a cleaning stick.
► Thread the segment back in.
► Repeat these steps for all segments.

► Fit the reflecting ring or silencer. Also observe the following instructions:

CAUTION
Installation instructions
► Silencer: Insert the silencer once more and screw it in place. The screw may only be tight-
ened "hand-tight".
► Reflecting ring C&P20/A/M: Tighten the fastening screw for the cover with a torque of
25+5 Ncm.
► Reflecting ring C&P20 P: Tighten the screw fastening the cover until hand-tight.
CAUTION
Use the correct filter disk extraction device.
If you use the wrong filter disk extraction device, the placement head could be damaged.
► Make sure that you use the correct filter disk extraction device for your placement head.

⇨ C&P20 P: Filter disk extraction device C&P20 P (green) [03108641-xx]
CAUTION
Avoid getting filter disk residues into the head.
► Replacement in the machine: switch the vacuum off when the machine is running.
► During replacement outside the machine, turn the head on the head mount, so that the Z
axis is at the bottom.

NOTICE!
Recommendation
We recommend replacing all filter disks during each
maintenance cycle.
Replace any damaged filter disks with new ones. Pro-
ceed as follows:
